WillGro Pumice is ideal for orchid growing – a lightweight, inorganic, highly porous growing media holding 25 to 50% of its weight in water, offering excellent air circulation. Use alone or mixed with 10% WillGro Sphagnum Moss soaked and well torn up. Best suited for Cattleyas, Laelis, Lycastes, Cymbidiums, and Coelogyne.

Willgro Large Perlite is an additive to your orchid media. Perlite is a lightweight soil additive that helps the soil structure and increases porosity.

Contents: Fine fir bark.

Fine bark is able to hold water better so the soil will not dry out as fast. Use this for varieties like Paphiopiledum. Some orchids prefer better drainage so it’s best to find out which grade suits your orchid.

Contents: Coco chunks, fibre.

A blend of medium coconut husk chunks and coconut husk fibre. Can be used on its own or mixed with amendments such as perlite to create a potting mix ideal for many types of tropical plants and orchids. Coconut husk products retain moisture better than bark but are also more porous and last longer than peat, and are easier to re-wet.

WillGro lava rock is a high-quality medium for hydroponic orchid growing. Lava rock provides more air to the roots, and less moisture than in more typical fir bark media, and does not decompose, which means less repotting. This size is well suited for growing Cattleyas and Phalaenopsis.

Clay pellets are ideal for growing in a hydroponic system. These are a clean and easy-to-use potting media that provide access to better nutrition, less root decay, along with more air to the roots. Clay Pellets enable orchids to be repotted less frequently due to lesser media breakdown.

This mix has good drainage and absorbent charcoal to help orchids thrive. The bark provides the necessary aeration to prevent root rot.
